Willard?
#1
Anyone going to willard this weekend? Me and my buddy are looking to get out in a bassist and finally catch a fish. If you have room for two we can chip in for gas or whatever.

[cool]Weather forcrash isn't going to be very fisherman friendly, especially for warm water species (like those that reside in Willard). Just FYI. Have a great time though if you do go...

Fishing is better from shore. Casting along the dikes or rocks. I've taken my boat out 3 times and we've caught double the fish just casting from shore. Much easier if it's windy as well!

Bank fishing right now its better, but with the weather all wacked out... willard isnt the best place to be out on when the weather does change, it cant get really nasty out there. North marina still seems to be doing the best.

Hey that's cool - I'm a bassist too! I also like Bass - the fishy kind!

My boy and I camped at Willard's Willow on Mon-Tuesday.

It was windy, and cold, and did I say windy?!!

Someone said spawning Walleye like that kinda weather.

I did float the N. Marina but didn't spot up anything on sonar. Did pull one kitty to shore near the campground. Then visited the S. Marina, but didn't get to float it - shoulda! Wanted to see what the finder would tell.
Also managed another nice phat cat there.

Didn't fill a basket, or find any of the other elusive species, but came home smelling of cats and campfire instead of skunk! I'll take it!!!

I'll say - they really are dumping a bunch of water in now - the inlet is a muddy rush!

How funny that there are at least two bass loving bass players in Cache.

Glad you got to tangle with the kitties. I've only made it out for trout a couple of times this year, but if we can get a few warm stable days that line up with me having some free time, I'm going to go explore Cutler for cats and all the other species it has to offer.

Bass loving bassist here in south davis county! I was the bassist in the band Monarch till about a month ago.
when I first read the initial post my brain formulated a picture of people flipping jigs out of a giant jazz bass piloted by Geddy Lee.....

How funny. What are the odds? I'm actually more of a guitarist, but I have several basses as well as a bunch of other instruments that I've neglected since moving to the country where I spend most of my free time fishing.
