Can someone explain to me exactly what are the requirments for bass to spawn, cause I am not catching anything and I don't know if it is anything to do with spawning season. Can someone help?

I wrote an article here about spring bass spawn. It was for last spring and we had an early spawn. The article touches on most aspects of bass spawning time.
The link is below:

Cold water [45-50] you have to fish slow. Yesterday we got them on white jerks fished with a sweep then sit for 5-6 secs. Also a Tiki swimbait fished off the bottom then reeled in slow caught one as well. Don't expect 12 plus fish days yet as they are sluggish still. Now is jerkbait time.
