[cool][#0000ff]Not likely you will find anybody who will do a straight trade for a Fat Cat. Most folks would do it the other way around...upgrading to the larger tube.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I might suggest that you put your tube on the 4-sale board and get what you can out of it toward buying a new or used Fat Cat. Gonna cost you some more money but you will enjoy the larger tube more...even if you are not 300 pounds.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]There is a good deal on a Fat Cat on the Utah 4-sale board right now. [/#0000ff]

Any particular reasons for wanting to trade the Fish Cat?
Just want more room? Seat sag? Etc

Reason I ask is there may be other options that come up -- like a smaller pontoon boat etc. Some of the less expensive U tubes also have more of a weight capacity, but are not as streamlined for cruising through the water.

We might be able to give you some other ideas to look at, if we knew more on what you are looking for.

I know it is unlikely but i figured i would throw it out there!! i dont want to sell it as i dont want to have to come up with the difference!!! and the reason i want the fat cat is because i want more room!!! i exceed the weight limit for the fishcat already it floats me and all my stuff just fine with no sag at all its just i think i would feel better in a fatcat!!! the only thing i dont like about the fatcat is that it only has the one chamber!!!! and a toon isn't an option for me!!! i just dont want one!!! they are convenient and all just not for me!!! i enjoy the swift movement of the fishcat and all i like the fact that it is very light so i can throw it over my shoulder and pack it around!! if it were just a little wider in the Butt area it would be perfect!!! as i have a hard time with the tray putting it in!!! i have thought about just making my own and make it more convenient just haven't go around to it!!!

give me a better idea what you want and I will help you come up with something as i doubt anyone will trade you straight across, you know how to get ahold of me and I have the same tube so I am sure we can come up with something and since the weather doesn't want to cooperate i need something to do until the rod building parts show up.

I really disliked the stock apron on the Fish Cat 4. I am using an apron from an older pontoon boat. The difference is it has stretch cords and clips that I hook to the D rings instead of using the little legs that the stock apron has. You might try adding grommet holes to the sides and use some small bungee cords.

As for the weight capacity -- I wouldn't worry about it. The manufactures always way under state.

im not worried about the weight limet as i weigh in much mor than mattpeace and he has the same tube and we sit at the same lvl in the water!! i just would like it to be a little wider in the seat area!!! ut i think im just going to hit him up on the building a lap tray!!! and just go from there!!!

[cool][#0000ff]I have been using rigid aprons on my Fat Cats for years. I have mad a lot of them out of lids from plastic containers. But the one I use these days is made by cutting out the bottom and leaving some raised edges. Really works great. [/#0000ff]

Lots of ways to build a tray or as TD puts it a sushi board. I used the lid from a sterilite tub for mine and added straps using a snap and rivet setter from my leather work tools. After my first use (hopefully tomorrow) I will see if I need to adjust or add to it. I also picked up from cabelas for about $3 a ruler that sticks on. It comes 36" and I had to cut it down to fit. But it looks like it will work great.
