Fishing report Charleston,SC And a few pic's from last week 4/22/2011
#1
The Giant Red Drum have been at the Charleston jetties now for a few weeks. The bite is getting better every day.

Most of the big fish have been caught while using fresh cut, and live menhaden while fishing close to the rocks on the bottom.
We have caught a few on Sebile hard plastic artificials while casting up in the rocks.

Good size menhaden are being caught at front beach Morris Island and in the Intracoastal Waterway. Nothing big yet,,,but good size.

The largest of the week was this 45.5" fat one. This fish was heavy!

Nice job skipper. They are showing up along the MI area too. I'm interested in seeing how the trout are going to do this year. I know DNR is recommending catch and release, but it's not a rule as of yet. Probably will be before long. I hear huge numbers were killed with that cold snap we had.

I know the cobia should be showing up too. I heard reports of Cobia already in your area.
