Not much to report on today[crazy]. I lonely wiper and one bite. I found all of my fish, they just wouldnt open there mouths for anything. In fact, I caught the wiper in the nostral, so im not even sure he opened his mouth[shocked]. Ran lindys, bottom bouncers, and even cranks today. Like I said, they were still there, just not hungry.

The only reason I posted is I talked to a guy at the ramp who had a brown trout foppin around in his boat! That trout had to have a wild ride down all the baffles and canals to get to willard! Anyone else pound slimers out there in the spring?

Better than bein at work !!! I fished it yest fer 6hrs with bottom bouncers -cranks-jigs & spoons ended up gettin 1 fat cat and 1 baby wally .. Ive seen several browns caught over the yrs in the inlet area once the high waters done and the clarity comes back.. On a side note the shore fisherman were all over the northeast part of the dike doin pretty well from what I could see catchin Wipers an Crappie ...

Been a long time since I have caught a trout out of the Bay, but back in the 70's before I had a boat I picked up a brown once in awhile while tossing Rapalas along the dike near the light pole in the spring during the walleye spawn. Seems like I may have even picked up a rainbow or two. With the weather warming up this week the bite should turn on again, hope so, my last pack of walleye are gone so I'm hungry for some fresh fillets.

I caught a 13-14 inch rainbow trolling around the corner towards the feedlot last spring.

I was at Willard yesterday morning. I found the fish but could not get them to open their mouths with any of the tricks I tried either.

The main lake temp was about 49.
