Cold water and and Idiot

Well my luck has changed so far this spring I was skunked in my tube and toon. I went Friday 5-6-11 to Dog creek. I am pre fishing it for a F&G study I plan to help with. We will be tagging cats there for a harvest study. Our local Biologist has asked me to help on the project. So I have fished it three times so far this spring. The water has been very cold like every where else. Friday it was 56 degrees at 8:00 am and got up to 57 by noon. The weather forecast was 20+ MPH wind in the afternoon. I started to drag a big chunk of cut bait and I had a worm on a bobber. I started off by catching a 19" trout on the bobber rig. About an hour later I got another trout about 15" and took off the bobber and drug it on the bottom to keep from catching the trout. I then put on a small worm hook on the Ultra light and cut the trout smaller. I hooked up with a nice little cat. I don't keep the cats there since I think they get POUNDED by everyone else. The wind came up and the water got rough so I called it a day.
A F&G maintenance man was there working on the dam. He saw a guy burn out in the parking lot spraying my truck with rocks so he pulled him over. He ran off on foot and the Gooding sheriff came to look for him. I saw him jog over the hill but he didn't have a rod so I didn't know at that time what he was doing. When I got back to the truck that was when I found out what was going on. They were still in man hunt mode when I got to the truck.
I wish people would respect our public lands and fishing areas. Ron

Good job on the cat Ron and sorry about your truck hope it wasn't damaged too much. Wonder who he was and why he ran. You don't smell at all now![]

I too am sorry that there are inconsiderate idiots out there! I think I ran into one in the making myself today or rather last night. Some one with a wrist rocket, in Delta, Utah of all places, shot out the back window on my truck shell. Why do either kids or some "adults" get a kick out of damaging someone else? It doesn't make much sense to me!![:/]

It is people that don't care about anyone else but themselves. Last year I was on Highway 40 out by Starvation Reservoir. The state was repaving the cheap way by placing loose gravel and oil on the road. Signs said to keep the speeds down to about 40 mph. Some nut in a pickup couldn't do that and sped by everyone sparying all with gravel and busting everyones windshields.
