UL White Bass N Crappie
#1
Hit UL with an old friend today and will be out with the kids tomorrow. Started off at 10 am, fished till darkish. Found a ton of crappie and White bass, UL is on! They are all along in the rocks. I only took a pic of the crappie as we all know what a grundle of White bass looks like. The crappie were all about the same size and I only took a few out of the cooler for a pic. Fun stuff. Took only enough to eat and let the rest swim for tomorrow . Hope to have the same results tomorrow. Great fun for kids...and they hit anything.

Happy Fishing

We hopped around on the north end (Lindon, AF, Provo), but from the other reports it looks like fish are all over in rocky areas from Lincoln Beach to the waste water flow. The crappie bite is light, and many fishing for WB will miss them with the faster reel speed. Putting the jigs under a bobber and slowing the reel down will result in more crappie.

Great report. Between you and TD and all these other white-bass reports - just wish UL wasn't so far for me!

But - gonna have to try it this year. Sounds like TOO much fun! Thanks for the info. Hope you kids get on 'em good!

Yeah, it was not super great, but we did catch a few. We will hook up when it is really on and get all we can handle. It was great seeing you today.

Though that walleye we caught on Fri.... wow... they've become my new favorite dinner guest! Still, I think I need more w bass for comparison. 50 ought to do it! [laugh]

Same area? I know of at least 3 people who ate skunk out at the Knolls yesterday morning (sat), but I think they left too early.

We hit AF in the Morning and did well till crowds showed up. We then ate lunch @ 2 then hit the Knolls....lots of people on shore catching nothing, but we were in deeper water and were doing ok for the last 1/2 of the day.
