Eastern Sierra BLOWS.....
#1
Was up at the eastern Sierra's this past weekend and no Tubing due to horrible wind. Went up to June Lake Loop wind was up to like 45mph. Then tried to drive up to Lundy and no luck there either 40mph gusts as well. The next day decided to drive up to the Little Virgina's and lake was still frozen over with 10 ft snow berms to arrive other than great pictures no fishing there either.

So after camping with 7 inch of snow fall at June lake loop the next day I decided to pack up and drive down to bishop and check in to the local Motel 6. Was able to finally wet the line (shore fishing) at Lake Sabrinawhen finally was able to bring in a few rainbows.

At least you got some shore fishing in. I got blown off of a lake here in Idaho today. It was probably the same wind!!!

You couldn't fish at Virginia Lakes? How about ice fishing?

We are leaving for the Eastern Sierra's this Friday morning. We've been watching the weather, hope it gets back to normal while we're there.

How about the river (Owens) ? There is some great fishing which can be a lot of fun.
If you Fly fish then its a ton of fun =).

Thanks.

A few years ago we ice fished Little Virginia, doesn't look like we can now. From your picture, it looks like rotting ice.

It is definitely going to be an interesting trip.
