I placed 4th with 11.6 lbs. biggest wiper i believe was 7.8 lbs and the heaviest 4 fish total was i think 14 lbs in that area. We caught 4 wipers and two walleyes, good to see a bunch of fellow bfters out there, good fun event

We placed somewhere in the losing pack[Wink]. Only two wipers all day (3.6 and 3.62). I cant remember what our walleye weighed. But, it was definately great to see every one again. Great seeing ya PACKFAN, WET1, and Old coot. I Also got to meet Wildcat out there, good guy and good fisherman (took a check home[Wink]). I dont know whos gonna spill their guts on the secrets, but I can tell you my fish came off berkley frenzys (deep diving shad color) at 3-3.5 mph gps with 65 ft of line out. Was running 4 rods but the only ones that hit were the ones set at 65 foot out which is about 14 foot down. We'll try again next year and hopefully see all of you again![fishin]

Here she is folks, she weighed in at 7.47lbs. Hooked her on wiper bread and butter, silver and blue rattle trap, trolling off planer boards. Biggest wiper i ever landed! How sweet it was. We only caught 2 wipers, but that chunk, combined with slow fishing, pushed us into 5th place money. Oh yeah! Thanx crazy4fishn for putting this tourney on, you guys do great work. See ya next year man.

She was a 26"er. A great time to be using 20lb fireline with enough on the reel for some good singing. She was a blast of a braul. thought i was gonna loose her more than once. I thought I had foul hooked a carp in the tail, but this time it was the real deal baby.

Yeah, that is some good stuff, I use it exclusively on all my wiper poles but I use 14 lb., even then keeping them big ones on is tough lost quiet a few. they just come unbuttoned? no line failure or lure failure just come off. Everyone I have talked to so far was trolling around 3mph where you also trolling that fast.
But congrats again. very nice fish.

[Smile] Hello everyone Myself (Magnaman) and a friend from work fished our first wiperfest. Thanks to crazy4fishn and all who helped with the fest. We took third place with a little over 12 lbs. We caught them trolling 2.7 mph, using shad raps # 5 and 7's. We caught our fish in 18 feet of water between the south marina and the southwest corner. Enclosed are a few pictures we took. Enjoy..........................Magnaman

Sorry for bringing this up to the top again guys but have any of you posted your pics on Crazy4Fishing website. I know they advertised on here for the tourney and BFT let them with no questions asked but I frequent there website and think it has improved over the years and with them putting on the tournament I think these pictures should be on there site? what do you think. They work so hard to do this for all of you? I'm just saying let them have the lime lite they deserve it. If you don't know how to post pictures over there let me know I can help you out.
just send me a PM.

We had our best day of the year but it was on minnow wipers. We caught 6 and lost 5 (2 of the 5 were decent ones) and one walleye. majority of the fish came on flee bitys trolled. We found a good pod of small wipers and filled our quota then wandered off to find some kicker fish but we couldn't get em in the net. O, well. steady day fishin at willard for us hasn't happened too much lately.

Thanks for the info Macman, sure is surprising that it isn't any warmer by now but I guess that is the way it is going to be until we get some warmer weather[:|].

No doubt. It was real off color east of the south marina, I couldn't even see my lures to check action when they were in the water, west was a little clearer. Might be that way for a while too, I guess it's good shad nutrients tho.
