East Canyon?

Hello all, I'm going fishing with my father in law at East canyon Friday morning, and was wondering if anyone has been there recently and what kind of luck they were having. I will be coming from out of town (I had to move to Boise for graduate school) so i want to make this trip count!

My son and I went out to East Canyon last night. It was our first trip to the res on our boat. It ly took a while for us to figure out what was working. However, once we figured it out we couldn't keep our poles in the water. We were trolling at 1.6 to 2.1 mph. We used our downriggers to put us down 13' and then used a size 4 rainbow rappla (that would dive 5'). My son started counting how long it would take for us to get a strike. The two times he counted we made it to 17 and then 53. Not too bad[]. I don't how you are going to be fishing the lake and what gear you have but this what worked for us.
