Weekend recap Golden trout, kokes, and brooks
#1
I've been fishing a ton lately and I haven't posted as much as I should. Last Thursday we took my dad out for his late fathers day present which was a guided trip to Flaming Gorge with Kyle Edwards Conquest Expeditions . We caught some monster Kokes and I would recommend Kyles service to anyone. He's a great guide and apparently he also runs an ice fishing guide service at the Gorge in the winter.

Over the weekend I took a few friends and my nephew up to try and get some golden trout. We caught over 20 brook trout before we were able to land a golden trout. My nephew at 10 years old was the lucky angler. I explained to him what an accomplishment it is to catch a fish that most anglers in Utah never see. He was pretty excited.

Also my brother has been catching a bunch of walleye up at Willard lately. He says they are pretty hungry. I've only seen one pic though so take it as it is.

Just to clarify the only fish in the smoker were salmon. The golden trout is still swimming around in the water. We just bought this smoker last weekend and it was the first time we have ever smoked fish. I will have to try that in the future.

They never left. There is at least 3 lakes in the Uintas that I have heard of. I think there could be more but I'm too fat to hike far enough to confirm.
