Went camping up at Pahrangat over my weekend with family and friends. That place is cooler than I thought it would be.

Didn't get any pics, but we caught more bullhead (black or brown, not sure which) and green sunfish than we could count. It was fun on light tackle, but those fish were tiny! Biggest bullhead went 10".

I never took the time to fish the upper lake for bass. The website says they drained the lake a few years ago and that only bullhead and carp were left, but I am sure there are a few bass in there still. Tons of bait in the water too. I had intentions of prying a bass from that water just to prove them wrong. Maybe next time I'll try.

We fished there before they drained it. The fish were same as what you got too. Before they drained it bass were caught on plastics with no weight. The middle pond was the best and the bass were on the upper end (North?) by the dam/walk path.

There is a small spot you can fish just before the lower pond that holds bass. The pond is feed by an underground spring. You have to park and then walk about 1/2 a mile.
