[cool]Went out saturday am with the wife south of 33 hole in the tubes. Spent five hours in the water for a few bites and one smallmouth. Very slow Even the wardens that checked us said it was slow for everyone that they had checked. Oh well had a nice time on the water.

BEAUTIFUL!! God I love those stripes on the face of smallies, that's a good size one too! Were you throwing tubes when you caught it?

[cool]Actually got him on one of my favorite baits.... a beetlespin. It works great near the weeds and other cover.

I think you should get rid of all your other fishing gear (give it to me) and just go out with some darter heads, Gulp minnows and of course the Beetlespin!

[cool]Yep. I get alot of smallies on the beetlespin and the rattletrap. Not too many on the tubes. Go figure.
