The wipers did not want to play this evening (9-9-11). We could not find them boiling anywhere. We decided to park over a school of bait fish and cast there. All we got was one short strike. The other guys we talked to did not catch any fish either.

Which side of the lake did you fish? That sucks that Willard gave you the skunk. Makes me not feel so bad I missed out on my buddies trip/invite up to Willard today. Although working was worse than a skunking for sure!

Welp - maybe I'm glad I didn't make it down.
Was hoping to beat the weekend "mayhem".
What TDT asked - were you floating? S, N ? Or maybe biking the shorelines?
I'm going to try the south end next time I go. I've heard reports they were still muscling those shad up against the rocks - but it was some of the teenagers getting in the action too.
Maybe we need an India Summer to turn them back on? Weather's been steady, but seemed pretty windy yesterday.

I was fishing in a boat.
The wind calmed down a couple of times during the evening. Especially as the sun was going down. I don't think that the wind was to blame.

As good as the catching was last week, I think the slow down was caused by the cooler weather. Did you notice what the water temp was? Last week it was 74*.
