Do you own a gun?
#1
This appears to be an old poll but Attorney General Eric Holder has already said this is one of his major
issues. He does not believe the 2nd Amendment gives individuals the
right to bear arms. This takes literally 2 clicks to complete. Please
vote on this gun issue question with USA Today. It will only take a few
seconds of your time. This
upcoming year will become critical for gun owners, with the Supreme
Court's accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for
individuals to bear arms.

This USA poll has been going on for years. I don't know what for? I don't believe it's real as I've done it many times and it always turns into 98% of voters telling the Govt hands off. I of course am one of them. A poll can't possibly be repeated hundreds of times and have any validity. So the question I have is, is this some kind of phishing, virus, trojan horse etc.............I don't know, just my two cents.

After I answered the poll, I noticed it was several years old but the part that I have no doubt is true is that Holder is not a person that believes in our Second Amendment rights.

I think most people would agree with you on that point. I certainly do.

But Holder is not a Law maker so I don't see how his opinion really matters on this issue, right? His job is to uphold the laws that are on the books. Congress makes the laws and the president signs them into law. It would take a super majority to take away gun rights,I don't see that happening any time soon.

You are so right James, at least that is what we hope but there have been so many changes in what we thought was true that you never know what the government might do, if it keeps going in the direction it is going now.

lol i find it a little funny that anyone would think that they could take the gun's from the U.S. gun owners..

from my cold dead hands is how they will take my gun's.. and i'm good enough to at least take one out with me.. if eveyone that owns a gun does the same how long will it take before they stop trying? [crazy]

thats why we have the 2nd in the first place!!

I agree Ron but that does not mean that there won't be those in this liberal administration that won't try. Most of us feel the same when it comes to our right to bare arms. Have you seen this thread, what do you think about waterboarding being a form of torture: http://www.bigfishtackle.com/...d;page=unread#unread

i did not read the thread.. i'm not seeing where torture has anything to do with owning a gun?

liberals are weak snivleing wimps that dont want to do voilance them self's but expect someone else to do it for them!!! they want to give there rights to someone else and hope they do the right thing with it... thank god that our fore fathers seen these wossy's coming and said we have a right to tell the goverment we will not give up our right's.. and colt, S&W, savage, rementon, browning, will drill that point home if need be!!

DISARMING INNOCENT PEOPLE DOSE NOT PROTECT INNOCENT PEOPLE!!!!!!!

well then maybe it should be in a diffrent thred ? as a mod why are you changing the subject in the midle of the thred??? i thought we were talking about owning a gun...

again i did not read the thred and realy dont care about it to much.. i surved my 6 years in the Army. and combattents know going in if the other side catchs ya it's going to get nasty!!

they took there chances and got caught.. getting a little water up the nose is better then bambo under the fingernails. or streched on the rack!!
man up and take it or give it up and the water will stop..

WH2- Obama stated that he was not at all looking to take guns away. I found it funny that there was a huge spike in gun sales when he was elected. I wished I owned a gun store every time a Democrat gets elected...its a scam.
Fuzzy- Not all liberals are for Gun control. If Gun laws were to get extreem...I lost all mine when they fell out of the boat while duck hunting :-)
And waterboarding is torture,History tells us a lot of people have been killed by it,teeth have been kicked in,apendages broken...It is not a good thing.

i never said it was not torture! i said the if they are combattents they knew what would be in store for them if they got caught by the other side.. and tell ya the truth if i was still in and we had a pow that knew info that would save lives on my side but would not give it up.. brake out the bolt cutters and start with the left hand. by the time i get to the right we will have what we need.. [crazy] his life or health means very little to me over my comrads. and they have takin up arms and are combattent they should expect nothing less!!

Any way you look at it. War is ugly. With my son on his way to Afganistan,I just hope he doesn't have to deal with any of that, from either side.
