Kingfish, Chickamauga, Crappie, 12-10-2011, Grayson & Archie
We put in at the Wolftever Bridge ramp this morning. Fishing docks, open water and bridge supports. The water temps were anywhere from 49* to 51* depending on which end of the lake you were on. We finished the day catching 52 Crappie with 15 keepers.
The best jig color of the day was a BG Patriot. Seemed like the Crappie just liked it better. About 2 to 1 choosing a Patriot color.
My biggest enjoyment today was sharing the dock shooting technique with Grayson. He is a good fisherman but has never shot docks before. We pulled up to one of the training docks and in three casts to the same spot Grayson caught a 13-3/4", a 13-3/4" and a TARP 14-1/4"! Thank you Drumking, Hal, Polo and everyone else for sharing with me the dock shooting technique. I was just a Bluegill fisherman without your help and info.
http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/ee37...011051.jpg
