Two of us fished Mackay yesterday catching rainbows only. No kokes and visited with four other fishermen that also found no kokanee. Ice is seven to nine inches deep. Bows ran from 11 to 19 inches.
Fished Mud Lake one evening last week, found a few weeds and caught three perch near them - fishing was very slow. All perch were 9 to 11 inches.

Thanks for the ice report on Mackay. I'm headed there my first next day off!
Nice perch at the Big Mud. I never found the weeds. Where did you park?
Thanks for the info!

I parked on the second turnout on the north and worked southwest about a third of the way across.

We fished near both boat ramps. Last year we also had trouble finding kokanee until almost Christmas after the ice had snow on it.
