BLUE GILL BONANZA ATY UTAH LAKE!!
#1
Had the week off and TrackerGuy has been telling me about this honey hole for bluegill and bass on utah lake. needless to say he wasnt lying!! got 30 a piece in about 2 hours with some going 9 inches!! thats huge in my book, my wifes too [Wink]! was sworn under oath not to reveal the location. i mean utah lake thats probably enough to give it away[cool]. already fried up a batch hoping to get another family dinner to eat the rest. then its on to the ice. looking for some monster perch this winter.

"thats huge in my book, my wifes too"

That's good in anyone's book, no matter how much they lie!

Nice gills. There are more and more 9 inch or better gills showing up from Utah Lake. UL is definitely becoming a great bluegill fishery. There are gills over 10 inches as well. Bound to be some bigger ones than that swimming in the ol' pond too. Thanks for the pics.

Well if 9" ain't enough to satisfy - all I can say - is you must not be frying 'em right! Nice collection. Interesting how most are yellow-bellied, but that one mid-way is SO orange. Is it a boy-girl thing maybe?

So - no Crappie sneaking around with them Gills eh?

Saw the rest of the Photos on tracker guy's blog. Nice photos. I'm jealous. Thought you guys were fishing from shore at least one of the days...? I don't have a boat, so I've been scouting a way to get to your "secret" spot on foot.

Just out of curiosity... how did you find my blog? I've had a lot of people tell me they follow my blog and I have never given them the web address. It was meant to be for family and friends. That said I've also never made it private either so no one to blame but myself. I don't care if other people see it, but I have many trips/locations on there that I would like to remain secret within my fishing group. Guess I will have to start being a little more vague in my posts!

After thinking about it... please pm me of how you found my blog address so that the rest of bft doesn't know exactly how to find it. Like I said, it's not the end of the world if people see it, but it was meant to be for family and friends only. I'm sure if you found it then many more bfters have as well. I guess I might have to privatize it if I want to keep it a secret. Thanks for the heads up!
