I am heading to Utah Lake tomorrow (12/14) to American Fork boat harbor I want to get out on the hard deck for the first time this year.
Looks like people have been fishing it on the ice so I figure I will give it a shot.
If anyone wants to come out there I will be driving a silver Toyota truck. Its an older one. Stop by and say hello. I will probably be wearing a black fleece jacket and a hat that says "Marines" on it. Hope to see some out there!!
If there is anything I should be cautious about let me know but it has looked pretty good lately.

I am heading down to the pumphouse in the morning, but if is sketchy I will be heading over to AF harbor...Silver Subaru..I'll be the guy with the black sled, red auger and some short fishing poles. I might also have some white buckets, so I will be easy to find....

Yeah I may wander over just for that reason. I want to at least locate the pumphouse so I know where it is..see how fishing goes. I know AF has had some OK fishing last few days. I will make sure to come say hi if I make it over there.

The Ice cracks every once in a while under your boots when you walk on it like it did Saturday but doesn't seem to be a problem, just nerve racking .

Wish I could join you but I have that other four letter word (work). I know the fishing has slowed a bit and the ice isnt as great as it was a week ago so be careful, be safe and catch a bunch of fish. Semper Fi[laugh]

I think the ice will still be fine. Hopefully a big scholl of whities parks right under your hole for awhile.

Ice was ok..ish....but I was bad luck apparently..one big fat whitey all morning..then I stabbed myself with my icepick..I thought those things were for safety. Looked like slow fishing overall, and yet I will be there again tomorrow, probably without the icepick..

I think I would have rather stabbed myself with an ice pick than fall in someones ice hole like i did! My knee still hurts and has a nice bruise on it.
Fishing was definately slow. I managed to eek out a couple whiteys, bluegill, perch, green sunfish, and a waleye. Not that fast action that I heard there was a couple days ago!!

definatly the worse steppin in someones hole. i did that at afbh last year right when i walked out. then i saw some young teens covering up the holes with snow like mines. i sure did give them a piece of my mind along with a few other anglers that joined in with us. they got out of there quick. not cool not cool.
