Drove by on the way to and home from Causey and it was starting to ice over in the narrows just up from the dam. Ice looked a little sketchy on the south side, from route 39 but I understand by the docks it's safer, but didn't see it myself.

May go up where ya planning on fishing? Please post up the thickness of the ice though please been jonesing for a PV trip.

Stick to the dock area and you will be fine. Past the docks was a little thin mid-week. The east end of the docks is around 55 feet deep. I found a few crappie willing to play. Good luck.

Drove past today coming back from sledding.. east end they were out there ice skating.. There was 2 tents out this morning by the beach at the point.. 1 tent out by the docks on the way back.
