Rockport success?

Hi all, I will be ice fishing Wednesday and am trying to figure out where to go. I saw the DWR report that says that fishing is good at Rockport, and was wondering if anyone could verify that there is good fishing there. We may end up going to East Canyon based on a report I recently read. I've never fished Rockport though, and if it's worth it I may check it out!

We went up to Rockport Christmas Eve day. Quite a few anglers on the ice, but we did not see anyone catching much. Ice was 6" thick on the West side and 13" thick on the East side by the inlet. Got only one bite all morning. Tye Dye seems to have it dialed in. Check his post.

I fished about 6 hours today (12/26) from about 9 AM till 3:30 PM and put 3 on the deck. Two were about 8 inches. The other about 14. Saw others catching one every now and then but not a great day. Talked to 6 older (over 65) experienced fishermen who fish there a lot and they had one (although I saw them throw back a couple of 8 inchers.
