my dad and my buddy and I got skunked out by renegade. we got a few super light hits and i hooked one but it knocked the jige out of it's mouth on the edge of the hole. Soooo heartbreaking for me! first skunk for me from the berry this year... honestly i havent been ice fishing there since i was about 16 (8 years ago) and that was my first time there since i can never get anyone to go with me (lone fisher in my family) so i dont know the best spots and without a fish finder i did the best i could, but we couldnt really see anyone catching anything around us (one family caught a couple) I fish echo east canyon and pineview a lot on the ice, but i dont know if our poor luck yesterday was due to a lack of knowledge or a bad spot or what. any tips? I've got a couple of my college roommates who have promised to come with this winter, but if i cant supply the fish i dont know how long they will last. any help would be great! thanx in advance for any info!

How deep were you fishing? 20-22' is usally pretty good. I dont know if there are any "bad" spots at renegade. I have allways done well through the ice at that end. The bay to the south of the ramp is one of my favorites.
How is the road to get back there? Is it passable with a 4wheel drive? Or is it snowmoblie only like usual?
The road to the Soldier Creek dam is open and in good shape for a 4x4.

we did great. totaled with 32 fish between me and my brother. fished near the bottom. biggest was 21". had 3 that were 20" and a rainbow that was 18" and the rest were between 12-16". great day. wind got a little cold at times but still fun. fishing really shut down at about 1

We ended up in chicken creek east we stated in about 25 ft and caught a few and one rainbow. slower than we thought it would be went out deeper 55ft and fishing picked up. Most fish of the fish suspened 20 to 30 ft down and a few on the bottom, we ended the day with 50 fish most in slot 5 being over only the one rainbow.
