East Canyon 12-28
#1
So my father in law and I went to East Canyon today, arriving at about 8:30, leaving at 4:30. Anyways, action was slow at first, until about 10:30-11 when things just turned on! Things slowed down again at about 1:30ish, however, when the sun would peek out there would be sporadic bursts of interest from the rainbows. I wouldn't call it red hot, but for the 9 hours we were there we caught 17 fish. What really seemed to work were white jigs tipped with rainbow power bait. We were fishing right off the marina. The Ice was melting at an unusually fast rate, so you may want to be careful if you are going soon.

Sounds like a great day!!! How thick was the ice? Was there any open water?

There was a small amount of open water by the dam. When we left, there was a small amount of water around the edges, but the ice was fine. I would be careful with this warmer weather!
