First time at boulder city pond....

Man I have been so busy with the holidays and a new job finally "yeah!" I never get to hit the water... Anyways wOke up with a slight hangover and decided to take my son down there... We got there about 3pm and stayed till 5pm and had a blast we caught about 15 decent trout in those 2 hours... They were hitting worms on bobbers or power worm lures casting like no tomorrow... Good time with my boy and well worth the drive... Also like to say its pretty nice down there and clean... It was our first time but won't be our last...

Nice! The best spot is on the other side across from the spillway/waterfall.

Actually we fished the south shore... Us and every one else on the south bank killed it!!! I didnt see any action on the sides of the pond and zero people on the north end... There has to be a great amount of fish in there right now the top water action was insane the whole time. Just constant jumping and swirls every where... My boy also snagged a turtle on a lure that got off "thank god" right at the shore... Looked like a mean snapper it had a triangle beak and I didn't feel like grabbing it lol... He was snagged in his foot but still....

Thats how Boulder Pond usually is, its the only pond we trout fish for anymore. From my experience there is not always one spot that is good. Get some good polarized glasses and walk around, you can usually spot them schooling everywhere.

Went today about 10am and had our limit by noon... Even snatched this 3 pound kitty on power bait haha... It was fun reeling that sucker in on a ultralight with 4 pound test... We ended up letting the cat go and just kept the trout... Also got a nice 15" trout but no pix my phone fell out my pocket into the water after washing my hands.. oh well dried it out and it's good again.. Thank gawd!!!!
