For those of you crazy enough to want to do the Cisco Disco, this is your invited. It will be this Saturday, January 21st at Cisco Beach. I encourage you to bring up your nets, waders (no ice this year) and stoves, dutch ovens, cooking gear, etc. Try to catch some cisco then have your own cookout with your friends and family and celebrate the annual Bonneville cisco run. Of course we'll be doing our own cookout with our friends and you are welcome to join us. We'll start just before daylight and go until the food is gone. I know that KUTV's Gary Winterton from Hooked On Utah will be up to film it all an I also understand that KSL and Outdoors with Adam Eakle will be up too. The Cisco Disco is NOT affiliated with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. Don't forget the "Bear Lake" Polar Plunge at the marina at noon. The money (100%) goes to Primary Children's hospital. Here is a link for the Polar Plunge:

Boy you got some great pics I sort of forgot how big the waves were I was in the orange vest next to big G. I was hoping for ice with all the reports from ice breakers out of the marina last week. And it was cold up top at Beaver today so hopefully the wind will let up and let it freeze this week. Keep praying for ice everyone it makes the best cisco runs. Thanks for the pictures See ya next weekend. J

You know you can't stay dry. Think we have too many to take the boat on Saturday but maybe we can run over Friday in the boat. Catch ya later J

You know it has been snowy for the last few years but it is still fun. They do a good job keeping the canyon plowed so if you take your time it's not too bad of a trip. Come say hey if ya see us. Later J

I don't eat them, but a lot of folks do and I hear they are a little oily. I just use them for bait.

If you go up to the cisco disco this Sat at bear lake you can try them yourself. I've had them a few times and they are simuliiar to sardins, they deep fry them after cleaning them and you eat the whole fish. With scones and BL rasberry jam it is awesome.
