Hey I am anxious to get my toon back on the water. Does anyone know what thaws first of the following places.

Mantua,
Lost Creek Res.
Salem Ponds,
Tibble Fork Res.

Please expected dates if you know them.

Salem Pond for sure. It seems like the little pond on the north side of the road stays open all year too. I used to catch tons of bluegill and green sunfish there in February when I was in high school.

I agree with the sentiments that ice fishing sucks. Bring on spring and the prespawn jerkbait bite.

Come on guys! It may not be AS fun as soft water fishing, but it is way more fun than NOT fishing at all!
