Well, I hit up the sandy fishery today with my daughter... Ended up catching about 4 bows in the hour or so that we were there... It was crazy, this little kid caught a really nice brown using bread!!!.. It was pretty damn big, but of course it was beat up pretty good... Any how, its always fun there with the kids... Got them using a worm about 5' down under a bobber.... Right off the dock, it seems like they are hiding right under there...

Yep the big browns are in there as they stocked the Brood stock in there during the fall. Bread as bait is classic, sounds like the silly brownie got a lesson in carp tactics before he left the hatchery. Or the public has been feeding the birds bread and they eat it too. The bluegill hide under there too but they are very small.
There are a few brood rainbows in there too! I was close to going there today as well but I opted for the jordan river instead. The crowds on weekends kind of made me think twice about SP.
How were the crowds by the way?
