A huge thanks to Hippy and Groomer for all their efforts in putting on the TX...it&#39;s not a little task...what a day the wind makes...Geno and I launched &quot;ol scratched ll&quot; from HBSP with ease...that was the best part of the day...the rest of the day was shoot and drag Fred d ( an ol golf joke)...wind got up early and stayed late...shooting, docks, fishing structure or trying to anchor was a bust...fish were hard to find, for us...jumped from spot to spot...the 2nd stop we reeled a nice slab, the next 5 hours were a struggle...caught a bus load of shorts (as usual). <br />As far as Gene and I are concerned, we agreed that the pattern and technique for day should have been trolling in the creek channels...(see the results of the TX in TX and Trails section)...it was my understanding that the two father and son teams who came first and second were trollin...the highlight of the day was 
on the young man&#39;s face who won some sho nuff money and the big fish...really appreciate Gene traveling from Mad Town to fish with me, the man&#39;s got to luv it and does...slogan for the day...we fished, we learned...
