Wipers boiling at Willard (Report)
#21
OK, You've got me wanting to try to launch with The Boomerang. Is there enough room for my 4 door long bed pickup and a 21' aluminum boat to launch? The boat sits high in the water but the really trick is having enough room to get my "train" into position for a primitive launch.

I was wondering how long it was going to take for you to ask that question. I think your old boat would have had no problem but your new rig might be in trouble but how much water do you need to float your boat? I think you would have no problem turning around (and I do remember how much room you need to turn around) but as I have said before the area is rough, lots of rocks. After you go through the channel, the area is wide, you would need to stay at the bottom of the channel until you get close to the mud bank then go up the little hill until you line up your boat with the water, then back your boat into the deep hole that I have discribed in an earlier post. I would advise you to drive your car/truck over there and take a look first, then you can seen for yourself. Wiperslayer and I are going after the big fish at CJ strike this weekend, if you don't make it out send me a PM and we can hook up next week and give it a go. WH2

BLM,I think there is plenty of water to float that massive rig,it drops off to 5 or 6'pretty quick. And another thing is if some dumb @$$ is parked where we have been launching there is no way you would ever get in or out. There was some meathead that was parked when I got there and just loading up when I was heading in so I asked him next time if he wouldn't mind parking up on the rocks so everyone can use it,he just gave me a dumb look!!M.H.

If you can go out in the morning then we can work something out, that will be the only time I'll be able to go next week. I work Swing shift so it's hard to go in the evening except for Sunday. PM me next week and we will talk. WH2
