Back on the water
#1
Tuesday, 04/03/12- Hooked the boat up and made the long drive out to Echo Bay. Lanched in daylight.

Great day to be on the water!

Motored up stream on flat calm water. Not much wind today. Dropped anchor over stripers, chummed a ton and started soaking cut bait. Time to put the two pole stamp to work. Action was steady for about an hour.

Decided to head up river and check things out. The water is twenty feet deep in the middle of the channel at the closed Overton Lanch Ramp. Several boats trolling the area. Motored back to Echo Bay on smooth water.

Today's catch. Time to break out the frozen shad!

Figures, about the only day this week I couldn't go and it is nice out. Winds are killing me when I am off. Nothing to do for the next 4 days and it is suppose to windy out for most of them. I wanted to go up there sometime this week since Madi is out of school for spring break.

Those Stripers look healthy. At least compared to the pictures I have seen of Stripers caught on the south end of the lake lately.

Catch them in 90-100 foot of water?

Anchored in about 65 feet of water and fished near the bottom.

I am loaded up and ready to go tomorrow AM. If the weather forcast tonight looks good enough. Heading to Echo. Figure I will chase the Stripers around some in the AM and then chase the LMB and SMB in the afternoon. Haven't been on the water in nearly a month. Killing me. Going to have to learn how to operate the boat all over again. lol
