Kokanee info

I have never fished for them and wanted to go after them this year both on berry and the gorge. Any info on time of year, baits, lures, ect. Thanks for any info[Smile]

I'm no expert, but I've done some 'koke' studies.

Downriggers, or leadline - squids, or other flashy baits. Pinks, greens - flourescents. Dodgers, snubbers.

One of the keys is marking your depth. If you get on a school and make a catch - you want to repeat that depth and speed. So a downrigger, or line-counter, or counting colors - can help. They've got soft mouths, so watch for ripping lips.

I hear they love white shoe-peg corn, but not in Utah. Maybe a gulp corn tipping instead. Hope I can get on some this year! Sure would love to hit the gorge or berry where they've got some size!!!
