You should also tell fish and game to stop wasting those big fish by placing them in a death trap like Ryder! I stopped by after they planted all the big boys in there and everyone was snagging and gut hooking as many fish as they could. Not to mention all the fish just patrolled the banks waiting to die because the water temp was so high!

I wouldn't be surprised if those rainbows jumped out of the water to cool off!

Ponds such as Ryder are probably better suited to warmwater species than trout. I wouldn't mind a close by water where I could cast a 2wt to some bluegills.

If the pond was just stocked, the bag of fish and the two on the bank may have been stocking moralities that someone removed from the water.

Best of luck...I watched a couple guys snagging steelhead and keeping them, even took pics, and reported license plate numbers. Not a darn thing done...

Whatever the infraction......report it. Don't get so discouraged that you don't call it in.

I had a similar experience last Wednesday. Went fishing for an hour and saw probably 7-10 people trying to snag fish or catching them with their hands. The part that really bugged me was the number of kids there that were learning that behavior. I must have told 5 of them, after they said to me "all you have to do is snag them." that that behavior is illegal and they can be cited for it. I also pointed out to a few the signs that clearly said "new vegetation, please stay off". They all quickly replied that they weren't on the grass so it was ok as they then stepped into the water. I figured it was pointless to point out the part of the rules on the sign that state no wading allowed. I did write a letter to the F&G since their CAP line and the office weren't taking calls being that it was past working hours. I have yet to hear back on that. I am thinking of hanging out there a few times to just call in during their hours to report the behaviors. Who knows. Maybe if all of us on here that occasionally fish there start reporting every violation then something will eventually be done.
