Clearwater Salmon Report
#1
Another good Salmon Report by Toby on the Clearwater River.

The lower river has begun to slow down. Fish are still being caught, but at a slower rate. A good number of fish have moved into the upper reaches. Orofino and Kooskia are heating up and the Salmon River between Whitebird and Riggins is also pumping out some fish...

I'm headed back over on Sunday for 2 & 1/2 days of Nook fishing. I got a text this morning from a couple of buddies that hooked the one below with in 5 minutes of having wet lines this morning.

Wow! Wish every salmon fishing day started out like that! Post that baby on FindFish if you get a chance!
Cheers.

Isn't that what fuels our "fire" for each new day...?

I love the anticipation of that first cast...!!!!!!

Definitely! Posts like that and the forecast have me thinking of heading over there next week . And it looks like the river is starting to drop back into form after these recent rains.
