well got out the other day with Elkmagnet and we had a blast, at least I did, we caught some bass, not too many he caught a couple of nice one's, he has the pictures of those, we both also caught a roughly 9 lbs. cat each, I am trying too get my pick uploaded too photobucket but it seems that they are having problems, anyway was a great day, caught 4 cats basically in 2 ft. of water with just a hook and cut bait, first time I have ever done that and it was a blast, was just like dropping a sinko for bass but for catfish... thanks for going elk it was fun,

Man it was a blast. Thanks for taking me out. Its not everyday that you can fish for cats like that. I really want to try it again soon. Its to bad you have to run in 6in of water to get there. The bass fishing was off but we managed enough for it to be fun.
I think he is being modest he caught at least 5 cats and I caught 3. One of mine came flying out of the water when I set the hook and landed in a tree that was wild!

nice fish guys! If people can't catch a cat right now they are not even trying. Good job on the catch and release. We need big one's to spawn. But keeping a couple doesn't hurt [Wink] Ron

it was good camera work and a perfect arm stretch by elk, you can make almost any decent sized fish seem big, before my 1 year old son threw my scale in the river I had my personal best 11lbs cat and well this cat was definitely under that, I figured both too be right about 8-9 lbs, his was probably alittle fatter than mine so I would have too make an educated guess of mine being 8 1/2 and his about 9 1/4,
