ririe Kokes
#1
Last friday got off work early and headed up the road to just take a ride on the lake with the family.
After the girls got tired of sunning themselves (and clouds rolled in ) they decided they wanted to try some fishing.
We hooked up the downriggers and sent two lines to 40 ft and long-lined two other rods. We managed to land 7 kokanee and lose 4. About half deep and the others were probably only 10ft down. We fished just under two hrs. Great afternoon[cool]

Sweet!

Still chomping at the bit to get out there and try for some koes as well as some perch and smallies. Have heard nothing of any walleyes being caught this year. Thanks for the report!

Yeap... Ririe is located just to the North East of Idaho Falls. Quite a long haul from your neck of the woods!

I was out at Ririe on Friday as well! Upset the wife because I got off of work at 3 in the morning and got my pontoon and fishing stuff ready and got to bed at 4:30 and was up at 6. She says that I wouldn't get up that early for anything except fishing[Wink]. She is most likely right!!!!!!!!! Any ways it was a great day to start out I put in at Blacktail and went across up willow creek. Trolling a spinner. Caught a koke right of the bat. I was trying for walleye but didn't have any success. If anyone has any good suggestions for those walleye please help! I also caught enough perch for fish tacos! The wind came up in the afternoon and tried its best to blow me off the water so i hugged the bank and went after some smallies and caught a few of them while I was fighting the wind. Caught one smally that was 13 in. All in all it was a great day fishing caught a little bit of everything except those dang walleye. [fishon]

Glad someone has been out there. I've been wondering but between work, vacations, yard work and still being a bit peeved about the rate hike there I have yet to make it recently. I think I'll have to start considering it soon.
