1st off thanks to everyone that has sent us a congrats, it's great to compete with a bunch of guys and gals that just like to fish. Well Nick (go blue) and I both have boys that play select baseball so we didn't have much time on the water over the last 6 months so we just kinda guessed where they would be and what we would like to throw. We both like to throw top water so we just went to some old spots that we had fished in the past. We started in some shallow grass throwing a couple of different top water baits. We caught our 1st keeper about 10 min into the night on top. We then caught 4 more keepers in the same area over the next hour all on top while watching the light show. Dropshot and us shared some water for a little while, I kept telling Go blue if Dropshot leaves we are too because I know he is keeping up with the weather. Once it got dark we move to a hump in about 14 ft of water and started throwing the blades and T-rigged big worm and the blade was the choice of the nite. Nick loads up on one after about 5 or 6 cast and says get the net. Well the fish didn't like the side he was on so I thought I was going to have to net him on the other side of the boat but she gave up soon after. That was our kicker at 6-15 lb. That was about 10:30 and we had one more fish after that and 2 bites. The front ran them off our spots but we were happy with what we had in the boat. We had a great time and hope to get to fish a few more of the CFF's before the fall season kicks in and we have to start heading back to the ballfields.
