Mormon Crickets

Hey everybody. I am looking to see if there has been any reports lately of the Mormon Crickets were still out. I am gonna go do some catfishing tonight and hoping i can go find some beforehand that is close by to me. I am in Caldwell and usually fish the Parma area. Also does anybody know if you can buy them?

Are them the huge ant looking ones? If so I havnt scene one in a long time but then again I havnt really looked for them.

Yeah those are the ones. I have always caught a lot more when using them. Wish i could find some.

Last time I used Mormon crickets at brownlee was a year ago. I caught one cat. My buddy using worms caught 3 cats at two nice bass

Lol i have no idea what they taste like. But i called around a few places and nobody had them for sale so looks like im out of luck. Thanks for all of your help

The one's I saw up at Brownlee were way bigger than those. Ron

They start out small and get bigger as they eat everything in sight.

Them are way different then what im thinking. The ones im thinking of are about 4 or 5" long are redish orange in color and kinda look like a giant ant.

Some places sell them frozen. I saw them at Sportsman's last year, but I haven't checked lately.
