If it's windy, parachute hopper or blue dragon fly. Run a nymph below about 18" and use the dry as an indicator for the nymph. Try wd-40 or an chamios caddis.
In the evening, Elk hair caddis.
Pick a spot and stay put, there are fish there, you just have to be patient.
Check your IM for a special spot I will reveal to you.

How far up are you planning on fishing? All the way up to the Soapstone Rd bridge is peak hopper time now. I like foam hoppers size 8 up there. If you're fishing along highway 150 ( mirror lake highway ) don't start more than a couple hundred yards below where the North Fork of the Provo comes into the main river. Irrigation water is being taken out as usual ( far channel) this time of year and the water is lower below. Much more noticeable this year with the very low water to begin with. If you use nymphs stick with size 8 and 10. I don't really like the typical dries this time of year as frequently you'll have trouble keeping the stunted brookies off. Whenever that's a problem the answer is use a larger fly. There are some descent trout in there, just can't let those small brookies scare them off when hooked or take up all your time.

Sorry, I assumed when you said Park City you meant the Pprovo between Deer Creek and Jordonelle.
Most call that the mid Provo, but I just related that you wanted info on the part closest to PC.

Did you mean above Woodland? I can send you a couple of spots for those sections of river too.
Jordonelle to Woodland is all private and posted

I'd recommend you try out anywhere from 10 -17 miles up out of Kamas if you want some chance at bigger trout. That's roughly 7000 to 8000 ft elevation. Can be a bit hot but sometimes stays out of the frequent afternoon thunderstorms we've been having. The only section I really don't like in there is maybe a quarter to half mile right above where the North Fork Comes in to the main river. Just not good holding water. Catching fish isn't that tough but catching even a handful over a foot is a still 50/50 proposition for me this time of year and I've had about hundred trips in on this section. Again for this section my go to fly is a large hopper. The bigger trout will frequently get to it quicker after you smack it on the surface. The tiny ones frequently don't get hooked on the bigger hook. Hit the nice holes with anywhere from 3 to 15 cast and move to the next. You need to cover ground. Most of the bigger fish will be on the first or second cast anyways. The big hoppers where in full force on Sunday before the storm rolled in.

Like i said before, im a newbie to this area, so from what i can tell, the easiest place for me to try would be the middle provo, which should be just a little farther south out of park city. So any info on this area is what i am looking for i guess. Thanks.

The Middle Provo is a good place to start the fish there are pretty forgiving and not easily spooked. The only downside is the hoards of people who frequent it. But if you don't mind a few people then there lots of fish to be caught.

I think the most popular section is the section right near Jordanelle Res there 3 pull offs there, then the Midway section and another down from Deer Creek near Charleston.
