My buddies and I are going up to the cabin in Island Park this weekend. We went up in June and were throwing inline spinners just off the shore around McCreas bridge and at the reservoir. When my buddy and I went one night we caught about 20 each (by McCreas), it was a heck of a time. Then the next morning another buddy and I went to the same spot and caught nothing. My main question is where are some good spots to throw spinners in the area?

We are all using spinning reels, I know some places you can only fly fish. I can throw a fly but the other guys don't really know how. We also have a drift boat we will be using but will also be doing Shore Fishing. Thought maybe about trying Henry's Lake as well as I have been told thats a "bucket list" spot. Any advice on the area will be much appreciated.

I spent all of last week in Island Park area, It has been fairly hot n dry for the most part, and that slowed down the fishing alittle. I did both fly and spinner fishing. For Spinners I fished in the Bill's Island area. Last Thursday was the full moon, the res was pritty active in the evening and at night, If you look back alittle their was a good thread on I.P. access. Henry's has been Henry's for this time of year, but if you've never been there you need to go.Good luck.
