Mill Lake
#1
Went to Mill Lake yesterday with my son and grandson. We walked up to the lake and started fishing with a bubble and fly. In no time fish on. Just small cuts. Then a thunderhead came over the mountain and it rained and hailed on us for quite some time.
While we were hid out under and old tree by a huge rock cliff a section of the cliff decided to break loose and tumble down the mountain slope. It made one heck of a noise as the boulders crashed down through the trees. I am glad it was a couple of hundred yards away from us. It sure tore up some real estate.
After the storm passed we went back to fishing and caught several nice grayling. We released all of the fish.
Another storm was approaching so we go out of Dodge. Fun trip even with the rain and hail. The rock slide was quite interesting also.

Hey, i'm new on the forum. I'm trying to catch as many species as possible, and grayling is on the list. Is Mill Lake hike-in only or is there car access?

Mill Lake is a walk or horse in only trail. It is between 2 and a half miles or three miles. It is above Howe Idaho in the Sawmill canyon area. The beginning of the Little lost river.
