Mantua -
#1
Fished Mantua today, sucked 2 gils all day. Water is stained green with a powdery green residue floating on top. Water levels are low inlet in the SE corner were the new bathroom is a shallow puddle. The section in the back were the new dock is only about 3 feet.

Careful looks like all the rotting vegetation is molding over with mold spores the size of a softball.

I think I heard some people catch something near the main boat dock but everybody I talk too was the same... a few gills or a mini bass.

Thanks for the heads up. Been a super warm year and I figured Mantua would suffer being so shallow

Try tubing up at east canyon towards the inlet, the cove by the bathroom. I took some kids there last weekend for their 1st time fishing. Smallmouth and crappie were a hoot, close to shore. Chartreuse or white buggers. most smallies were small but a few 8 to 10 inch. One of the kids caught a 13" crappie,Bigginers luck [Smile]
