I was recently introduced to small stream fishing and have loved it. The only places I've found are a good hour away from where I live though. Normally when I go fishing I only have an hour and a half or two at most so I hate spending most of that driving. Does anyone know of any good streams to fish near Twin Falls? I'm talking like 15 to 20 minutes away. The type of streams I'm talking about are small enough that I can get right in and just walk down the stream looking for good spots. If you want to PM me that would be great as well. I am strictly catch and release as no one in my family likes to eat fish.

I think a lot of people overlook the rock creek. There are tons of great spots to fish it from twin all the way to the south hills. We have caught many 20+ inch brown trout out of there.

Do you get in and wade in Rock Creek or just fish from the shore? it seem pretty deep to be wading in from the few times I've been there.

I have chest waders i use. When the water is lower you can wade through most all of the rock creek. There are some deep holes you cant wade through and thats typically where we find the bigger browns hanging out. Certain times of the year the water is higher though and hard to navigate if your trying to wade through. But if you fish it enough, you will find plenty of spots where the creek widens and is shallow enough to wade through, even when the water is higher than usual.
