Guide Ice
#1
I went this morning and fished the weber at the peterson exit. I got thier around 8am and it was cold! My gudies iced Up pretty quick and was really fustrating but ended up landing 2 nice fish and lost 3 after hook-up in 2 hours. So my question is what can you use to keep from getting ice in your guides. Once the sun can out I was good but the first hour was rough casting, and fighting thats what Im blamming on the 3 that got off [Wink], Was planning on throwing streamers but water was really low so I ended up using a hares ear with a rainbow warrior dropper and they all hit the dropper. It was sure nice to get a nice sized fish on the new rod too!

I just swish it around in the water every ten minutes... Nice fish! What section of the weber was that?

Its on the lower weber just before you get to morgan. I tried moving it around in the water but wasnt working very good, so I just broke it out with my hands but then it would ice up again within a couple of casts [mad]

Stanleys Ice Off by Loon. Comes in a neat little plastic tin. It is made for this and works very well. Swish in water a good temporary fix,but if real cold, it makes bigger cubes[mad].
In a pinch, Chap stick. Always have that when fishing. Hate sun dried, wind burned, frozen lips.
