Where to?

I am looking to take a friend fishing on Tuesday of next week. We are wanting to catch either catfish, bass, perch, or bluegill. We want to introduce his wife to a different type of fish other than trout. I'm used to fishing the warmer months and so not familiar with techniques and areas for this time of year. Any suggestions?

Where are you located and how far are you willing to go?

I was in Southern Utah this past week and caught lots of bass. For me spinnerbaits was the ticket and spoons worked too.

I'm in Salt lake area and probably would be willing to go about 2 hours away. I wish I could go farther but the guy I'm taking along doesn't want to go too far. any suggestions? I was planning to take my pontoon boats if that helps.

I would keep an eye on the weather. Supposed to cool way down at the first of the week.

Might slow down the fishing for awhile.

Now if you are a duck hunter, that would be a different story.
