Government Wash 2/18 :-(

[Sad] took advantage of the nice weather yesterday and hit the lake. bad choice I should have stayed home.... within my first hour I had almost fell in the lake face first, I broke my baitcasting reel, ripped the front of my shorts all the way down the leg, and lost 3 lures, (one being my brand new A-rig on the second cast. second one payed to the lake)..

Not one bite. seen a boil about 100 yards past my longest cast. I am beginning to think it is my bait. ever since I started using the ones from the fish market I have had crap for luck in 4 outings. I was doing better on the jumbo sardines I got from the international market. so I'm thinking I'm going back to those.

on a lighter note, I got to "break in" my new all terrains, and it was beautiful on the lake, it was warm with a light breeze, and the water was crystal clear. better luck next time I guess "I'll be back"[pirate]

I broke the level wind nut. I have no idea how, first it was really hard to reel then I noticed the line got all built up on one side of the reel before I noticed the level wind wasn't going back and forth [crazy]
