Callville Bay Report 2-18-2013
#1
Since having to move the houseboat down to callville, I am trying to learn that end of the lake.

Honestly, I hate it. I have never had a bad day out of Echo Bay. I went to every place all the locals told me to try and it was nothing but a vast wasteland on the fish finder.

So I decide to take my girlfriend that has never caught a fish on lake mead in her life down to 33 hole around 12:00pm. There were a ton of boats but looked like no one was catching anything.

We trolled the whole place but couldn't find anything. The fish finder was lighting up left and right but nothing was biting. So we started to troll out before the water pump, where a nice lund boat was anchored bottom fishing when I saw a slight boil. So we trolled around him and than BAM!!

She hooked up with a small striper, and while my pole was down while I took it off her hook my pole went off. So I reeled it in, and ended up with a nice 10lb striper. Wish she would of got it, but it made the weekend very nice.

I hate having to learn a lake again, I really wish they wouldn't of closed Echo Bay, but hey everything changes.
