Throw away the worms and power bait These community fish want bread dough. Just mix up flour and water -add a little garlic powder if you like.A little smelly Jelly doesn't hurt either.I've been fishing it about 1 1/2 ' below the smallest bobber I can find.On cloudy days -- a little deeper on sunny days.
My theory is-- the fish are eating alot of bread that is meant for ducks so that is what they are used to eating.

I've never mixed up the dough myself or added anything to it. I used regular old bread at Canyon View Park pond in Spanish Fork for years. I would just tear off a piece, put it in my mouth and suck all the air out, then just mash it onto a treble hook like power bait. Then like you said just put it under a small bobber. I also liked to use no weight or bobber sometimes and just fling it out there like I was fly fishing, haha. Most of the time I would have a fish on before it would hit the bottom of the pond. It was funny too, because I would sit there catching fish after fish and people would ask me what I was using and I would tell them "bread", and nobody ever believed me. I've tried it a few other places, the only other place that it worked was actually at Fish Lake surprisingly. What pond(s) have you used it successfully at?

1) Get a non motorized boat. 2)Go out on bountiful pond between the islands with some shrimp. 3) Be ready for a fight, and have a good catfish recipe.

I've come across carp that are accustomed to eating bread thrown to the ducks. We made bread flies and did really well fly fishing for them.
