I went east out of Blackfoot on Rich Lane and up over the reservation . Something you might be interested in , is the river . It is very low and clear . It would be easy to wade . There is no snow or mud on the road . Curt g.

Thanks!

I haven't ever gone through the res over to Blackfoot R. I know that it is further south from your route, but do you have any knowledge or experience with the Gay Mine Rd - Narrows- Lone Pine rd area? Is it higher that the way you went? Do they close some of those roads?

I use this road because it is only 40 miles from my house to the dam . I live near Blackfoot high school . This road goes by part of the old Gay Mine . Going south on highway 91 through Blackfoot to the north end of the State Fair grounds and turn right on Rich Lane . It will take you east right past the stock yard . You will be on the reservation for about fifteen miles . When you leave the Reservation you will come out at Morgans Bridge . Stay on the south side of the river and the road follows the river all the way to the dam . There are several spots you can drive down to the river . Curt G.
