guess the weight on this bass
#1
I weighed the thing, and thought it would be fun to hear guesses after that one thread about the weight of fish. I'm a size 12 shoe by the way. biggest bass of the year for me so far. Got to hit sand hollow this morning for a couple hours and caught twelve. they are in full spawn mode!

I just measured the outside part of my shoe, it's right about 13 inches, and it might look like I'm tilting his head up a bit but I really didn't at all, so he's laid pretty even with the shoe, so I hope that helps with measurement and guesses.

Not much girth, lenght is about 15-16 inches. Would guess it at about 3lbs, give or take !! Bad handling, putting it on the rocks !!

I agree, terrible handling on my part, that bass probably won't survive being gently placed on the rock for a quick pic, heck a bass can't even be out of the water longer than 20 seconds at all. I should've also yelled at some of the other guys out there in boats, netting their bass and setting them down on their boat for a minute before they released them. [crazy] How these fragile beasts survive such awful handling like that is beyond me. thank you for the constructive criticism. [sly]

13" of shoe plus the inch behind the shoe and the other 4 inches in front of shoe makes 18" looks a little malnurished, so ima say 3pounds if it.was a fat healthy one then easily 5 pounds.

If it wasn't 3.2 lbs, your scales are off. Just kidding. That's my guess though. Looks like PBH is right, They're running out of feed. Just a tad skinny.

3 pounds 1 ounce according to my nice digital scale. I had it estimated around 18 inches but that bass had that striper skinnier look than that real chunky football look. Good guesses and I will take it for sand hollow, lots of 2 pounders in there and nice to break through the 3 pound mark, even though that lake holds some absolute pigs.
