My goal this year is to go after some tiger muskie in pineview. We have a family reunion in Eden this Summer, and I will have a few days to devote to hunting tiger muskie. I have never targeted them before and would like some specific pointers on location, equipment, tackle and presentation. I will be fishing from a boat. Thanks in advance for your help.

some heavier mono, fluoro, or braid. steel leader, medium heavy to heavy rod, and chuck and chuck and chuck a variety of 5-9 inch baits towards the shallows, points, and structure you can find. mix up retrieves, slow and steady and kill it and twitch, rip it, pop etc... Pretty much all you can do until you find one that wants to play, you'll find baits over time and techniques that work better than others, many guys on here won't tell ya there "secret" baits they throw or presentations tricks and what not. But one good thing to do is go to the in-fisherman sight and read up on muskie fishing, you'll find some good info on there and some baits to buy and try.

+1. Many methods/baits work I think the key is just sticking to it and searching water for one that's hungry.

Thanks. Does it matter what size metal leader I use?
